Here are some chapter book series for boys and girls (ages 4-8 and 9-12)  I am discovering a ton of books that I want to introduce my daughter to, love that the characters are African American so that she can identify with them.  Many of these books are in Amazons buy 4 books and one of them is free, great for the holidays and birthday gifts.

Thanks for this! I've really noticed an absence of black boys in chapter books. It looks like I haven't been mistaken in that impression. Very frustrating.

Thank you for this! I am a hawk when it comes to searching for AA characters in children's books but we are getting into chapter books now and hadn't seen anything yet. We'll try these. Thanks again!
